As an English major I often wonder why in the world I ever chose to get a degree that requires me to read and write almost constantly. COMS majors get to make videos and poster and magazine covers. Nursing majors get to work with plastic people in the pretend lab thing. (See how little I know about science?!) Kinesiology majors take bowling--enough said.
But me--I write. And write and write and write. And then I read. But why? So I can write more, of course. I write, and write, and write, and I wonder in between clauses if my words really matter. I wonder if my professors will give my writing more than a few minutes of their time. But most of all I wonder if I will ever write something that truly matters. I wonder if my words will ever be of any value to anyone else.
Everything you write matters!
