Authorship

I've always wonder if I should be a writer. I already write--of course I write, I'm an English major. But I wonder if I could identify myself, someday, not just as one who has to write, but one who always writes. A Writer.

The question is not if I could write. I already do. I already write fairly well. But should I go from doing the verb to being the noun? Should is the key word in that sentence.

Everyone always says you can do anything you want to do. Can is correct. But should you always do anything you want to do? Of course not.

I could write; yes. But should I?
